How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for the following reason:
- An interest in joining a Taiji Qigong class. We ask for your name and your choice of how we contact you (email address and/or telephone number) for class updates such as cancellations and special events plus contact details of your chosen person in the case of an emergency. Also, by ticking the box regarding the health disclaimer, you are stating that you have read and agree to the relevant information on the website.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored.
We keep your name and your chosen contact details (needed in case of changes to classes/cancellations/special events) plus details of the person you choose to be contacted in the case of an emergency. We will safely store this information on a USB which is kept in a locked cabinet for 7 years maximum or until you tell us that you no longer wish us to store your information. Contact details for emergency contacts will be entered into a book that is taken to each relevant class and stored in a metal cabinet when not used.
